Mount Cook Glacier Guides Heli-Hike

Explore New Zealand’s largest glacier–The Tasman Glacier–from Mount Cook. A guided heli-hike trip or snowshoeing adventure creates bonding for teams or for individual incentives clients. An unforgettable experience in our magnificent outdoors.

The Wigley is seeped in tradition. This trip is named after Harry Wigley who invented ski planes 50 years ago. It is on those very ski planes that delegates and clients travel to the upper reaches of the Tasman Glacier for a snow-shoeing exploration of this pristine landscape.

The Adventurer lands lower down on the glacier for a guided walk exploring the ice formation unique to the glacier. Helicopter access there and back.

For all excursions, outer clothing is provided along with crampons and safety items. Based at Mt Cook Airport in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park.
